Most larvae I observed were tunneling in the bases of leaf petioles, and one was constructing a shallow, externally visible tunnel in a stem. The frass was bright green. Pupation of reared individuals occurred in the moistened potting mix in the bottom of the rearing container. Several adults emerged in late May from larvae collected in early May.
