Record no.:0124
Feeding guild:Miner in petiole and leaf blade
Taxonomy:Diptera: Drosophilidae: Scaptomyza sp.
Stages observed:trace
Distribution observed:IA
Hosts in Cardamine:C. bulbosa (spring cress)

I noted a blotchy whitish mine in a stem leaf in late May; it covered part of the leaf blade and entered the petiole as well. The larva was no longer present, but the damage appeared similar to that of drosophilid larvae I observed in other brassicaceous hosts during the survey, and it keys to Scaptomyza sp. in Eiseman (2022).
