I observed short, unoccupied mines in the midribs and petioles of lower stem leaves and basal leaves of the host in late May 2023. One of the leaves with a midrib mine also contained a nearby leaf blade mine still occupied by a larva, which appeared to have been the same individual responsible for the mining in the midrib. The damage and larva key to P. liebecki in Eiseman (2022).
